The Sister's Keeper

10:03:00 AM Unknown 0 Comments

I just went to watch the movie " The Sister's Keeper", and I couldnt help but start to think what's exactly right and what's exactly wrong?

Is it right to ask your loved ones to give a part of themselves to you, even though it may mean inconvenience to them in the future?

Is it wrong for your loved ones to fight so hard to keep you alive, on the verge of breaking their own lives too?

I dun think it's a movie that soars your emotions up in an accelerating manner, such that you cry from the start till the very end of the show. Well, at least not for me.

Dun get me wrong, it's definitely a touching movie. Just that it's so brilliantly paced such that the storyline "invades" your heart bit by bit. You probably dint even realise it but yet, it leaves a lasting effect and you will still think about the movie after the show ends.

Besides that, each character also has his/her own strengths and weakness, rather than having the limelight only on the sick child. Every character is like "fighting" to draw your attention and keep you captivating throughout the 100mins....

The scene when the strong mother just broke down into tears, knowing very well it was time to let go
The scene when the unattended brother just blunted out the truth and bravely acknowledged the dying wish of his sister

Enuff say, I shan't reveal too much about the movie... Do try to catch the movie! Highly recommended...... by ME! =p

Thai Resturant at Siam Square, Soi 8

I recommended this in my previous BKK entry, so obviously I went back again. It is still as good and cheap, of an average damage of S$10 per pax.

On a side note, do visit Siam Square for Korean style shoes and youngster wear ..... ^_^

Beaulieu House Restaurant - Horrible Experience

11:30:00 PM Unknown 0 Comments

Beautiful name for a restaurant situated in the middle of Sembawang Park. Sound romantic? If your gf enjoys horror movies, perhaps this will be a good dating spot then. If not, you better dun try... and dun say I never warn you...

1) Kenak "bluffed" by recommendation from TV

I decided to try this out as I saw the restaurant being recommended by the Road Babe Show hosted by Xu Zheng Rong & Pan Ling Ling.

I was utterly disappointed when I reached the place => the place was "lok kok" with no customers on a Monday night, we were the only souls ( probably that's why the waitresses were a bit too enthusiastic & it was kinda irritating). This was seriously "suspicious" and I was amazed by how TCS can create miracles here with their cameras. It looked so much better on TV.

Put that aside, since we were there, might as well try out. Dun judge the book by the cover mah...

Hi all,

I've changed my blogskin! Isnt it cute? ^_^

I'm sure probably now my friends are pointing fingers at their pc screen and saying "That is so You!"

Btw, I need "help" from you who are reading my blog. As the previous blogskin was a coloured background, I can have white as my font colour. Obviously, those wordings will become invisible in my new blogskin. So, please please drop me a comment if you happen to chance upon some cases, coz I cant go through all my previous entries to check mah... Thanks!!

Bkk Part 2 in next entry....

Guide to reading this entry: The photos are random. Do not attempt to make sense from the sequence. The truth was I attempted "countless" using Firefox to upload the photo but unsuccessful. The last resort using IE succeed unintentionally, and so the photo uploading was done in a rather illogical manner.

It has been a while since I have blogged on restaurants and food, so here I am again... haha...

Actually because I'm lazy, or rather just dun feel the enthusiasm to blog.

Being bothered by lotza stuff lately. Ideas and thoughts that ran wild that I almost lost my breathe.

Seemed that when people grow older, you tend to have more and more regrets about things not done or more and more hesitation of getting things you want done. You just dun dare to take the small step forward, you are worse than a baby learning how to walk...

You are no longer outright about things you mean, but rather you beat around the bush and at the end of the day, leaving your "recipients" lost in the world of question marks. Nothing is being communicated and you probably feeling more frustration...

Familiar?

Welcome to my group. Maybe I should set up a focus group to discuss and motivate each other hor.... =p

Just sth to share, I went blading with my niece, but she cycled lah. I'm not really a good roller skater so I cant really stop as and when I like, I kinda wait for the glide to end.

So imagine this....

I was blading in front, my niece cycled behind, and my parents running after my niece behind...
Funny right?

Erm, the funny part is my parents running after my niece... HHAHAHHA

Anyway, as and when, we got to stop to allow my parents to catch up since they were not on any form of wheels.

Then my niece stopped to wait for my parents, but I couldnt stopped myself.. So, she alighted from her bicycle, ran to me to hold me to stop...

At that moment, she had redeemed herself from Little Devil to Little Angel... Hehe
