Pasta with Tomato Cream Sauce

9:34:00 PM Unknown 0 Comments

I love tomato cream sauce for my pasta - best of two worlds! Sad to say, not every Italian restaurant offers the 'ultimate' sauce. So, the best solution is to make my very own!

Ingredients ( serves 4 -5 pax)
  • 2 Tablespoons Oil (preferably Olive Oil)
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter (approximately 30g)
  • 1 whole Medium Onion, Finely Diced
  • 4 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 can (29 Ounce) Tomato Puree
  • Salt, Pepper and Sugar to taste
  • 1 packet Cooking Cream (200ml)
  • Grated Parmesan or Romano Cheese, To Taste
  • 250g of Tagliatelle (or any other preferred pasta)

Royal Caribbean for next year? *Thinking aloud*

12:12:00 AM Unknown 0 Comments

The last time that I went cruise was probably 10 years ago?  The only thing that I can vaguely recall is, we got free upgrade from a porthole room to a deck room with balcony with Star Cruise Virgo. Other than that, it was just eating around at different restaurants where food was rather passable and dipping in jacuzzi under the starry night. Cant really remember any much activities and that's why no more cruise since then.

But hey, I have been hearing about good stuff of Royal Caribbean, which seems to have better restaurants and more activities on its cruises. And hor, one of its ship, Mariner of the Seas, will be servicing cruises out of Singapore!

Personally, I think 3 nights on a cruise is just nice. Anything more than that probably will be boring for me. Well, unless you are planning to go for those land excursion when the ship dock at the various ports.

Homemade cold soba

3:01:00 PM Unknown 0 Comments

Easy to make, nice to eat, most importantly,  super healthy!

Ingredients:
Buckwheat soba - $2.80 from cold storage ( serves 3-4 pax)
Japanese sesame sauce
Meat
Egg

Steps:
1) boil water in a pot
2) once water is boiled, place soba straight in
3) stir gently so that all the soba strands are immersed in water
4) lower the heat and cook soba for about 7minutes
5) drain the cooked soba and then place the soba in cold water/ under running tap and literally wash the soba
6) continue to wash the soba until the water is clear
7) drain the soba again and place it in the fridge. ( I let it became cold for an hour)
8) serve with cold boiled meat & egg ( or any other ingredients that you like) and drizzle sesame sauce

There, a cold meal to battle the hot sunny day!

Caution & Conscience Blogging

12:20:00 AM Unknown 0 Comments

I don't even know whether I should be writing this, but since there are no names mentioned, I cannot be sued for defamation right?  I'm writing this so that fellow bloggers or any other individuals who writes online (facebook, twitter etc) should be mindful of....

I received a call from a company asking me to remove a post about my experience with them.

*
*
*
*

You should have guessed it. Yup, it was about a bad experience with them and there were other readers who shared their similar negative feedback under the comment box.

The management mentioned that his business was affected because of my post and the comments.  And because I was the moderator of the comments, I'm answerable for the comments made by others (whether factual or not, which is something I will not be able to verify). In short, he said that the company had taken the screenshots of the post and the comments and his solicitors can sue me for defamation if I don't remove the post and the comments. The caller also claimed that they had sued a customer for defamation successfully in the past. Seriously, I felt threatened even though the caller wasn't scolding or shouting at me. Boy, I think he probably was "well trained" in making such unpleasant call.

Post from Batam!

11:12:00 PM Unknown 0 Comments

Oh yeah, im spending the weekend at Batam. Quite a last minute decision and so the only place that I can find is batam... so here I am! :-D

Cant wait for my 3hr spa tomorrow. The only thing is, the only slot is 830am! Such a 'horror', having to wake up at 7am so that I can have my free breakfast before going to the spa. I hope the spa is good,  to make up the early wake up.

And guess what I found in batam, hello kitty plates and bowls! More to add on to my collection.  *happy mood*

Shall pen off to catch my beauty sleep. See ya back in Singapore!

Ecopure Moisture Fore Eye Cream

11:28:00 AM Unknown 0 Comments

Model Highlights:
  • Cream texture
  • Natural origin ingredients 51%
  • Volume: 20ml
Reason for selling:  I bought too many products from Korea, so much that I probably will have problem finish the products in 3 years time.  =_=

Bought this twin-set before I went Korea at the original price of $49.90.  I'm currently using one of the tube, but at the same time I'm also using Laneige eye cream!  I only got 1 pair of eyes! Help!

Eye cream selling at $15. Interested, please leave me your contact details via comment. ^_^

Dresses

11:27:00 AM Unknown 0 Comments

Model Highlights:
  • Tinted purple/blue mullet skirt (short front and back long skirt)
  • Size: Eur 36
  • Front length: 15"   Back length: 24" (measurement taken when item lie flat)
  • Comes with a white cotton lining (length: 12")
Condition: 10/10 New! ( I have wore it only to try to match it at home)

Reason for selling:  I fell in love with this piece when I saw it in Mango, and brought it home without much thinking.  But sad lah, I dun have anything at home to match this pretty piece.  I thought a crop top will look nice with it, which I probably cannot carry it off since my body is short.  So no choice, I have to part with love. ~_~

I'm selling it at more than 50% discount as I thought that it really worth a new owner who will wear it! Keke

Mullet skirt selling at $20 (price inclusive of normal mail).  Interested, please leave me your contact details via comment. ^_^

Model Highlights:
  • Light brown chiffon dress
  • Size: approximately 6/8 ( I'm a big 8 and I can wear this piece. A smaller than big 8 will fit perfectly)
  • Length: 32" , Shoulder to shoulder: 13.5" , Waistline: 12.5"  (measurement taken when item lie flat)
  • Bought in Hongkong
Condition: 7/10 (I have wore it less than 3 times)

Reason for selling:  Although I can wear this, it's a bit too fitting. So I tell myself, I will slim down to wear this again.  But I think it's really a miracle that I maintain my size, so to become thinner is a bit too much. LOL

Chiffon dress selling at $10 (price inclusive of normal mail).  Interested, please leave me your contact details via comment. ^_^

Nature Republic Aloe Vere Soothing Gel

11:25:00 AM Unknown 0 Comments

Model Highlights:
  • Gel texture
  • 92% real aloe vera
  • Volume: 300g
Reason for selling:  I bought 2 bottles of the aloe vera soothing gel in my recent Korea trip.  Since then, I started on my first bottle of the soothing gel. I scooped out and put in a small container to prevent contamination and share with mum because there's so much in 1 bottle. Guess what? I have not yet refill my small container.

This gel is good to calm dry & red skin, which is good in a sunny weather like Singapore! I also like that it has a very nice smell.  Keke

Best part? It can be applied from hair to face to body, great for travelling. Abandon all those small containers, just carry 1 will do!

Soothing gel selling at $10. Interested, please leave me your contact details via comment. ^_^

Louis Vuitton Damier Azur Canvas Saleya PM Handbag N51186

3:12:00 PM Unknown 0 Comments

Model Highlights:
  • Dimension: 13.7 x 9.2 x 5.9 (I didnt measure, so I took the measurement online =p)
  • Damier Canvas, round handles and trimmings in chocolate natural leather, microfiber lining
  • Zipper closing
  • Flat interior pocket and phone pocket
  • Carried on the shoulder
  • Comes with: original box and dust bag
  • Does not come with the crown keychain in the picture
Reason for selling I have too many bags and I seldom use this.  Also, I dun really like LV bags in general (after owning one), coz I find LV bags too heavy for my petite size.

Condition:  7/10

I bought this bag in 2008. Condition is good, except that the handle has changed to a light brown due to normal wear & tear.

I bought this instead of the classic Neverfull series because this bag comes with a zipper closing! That feels more secure, rather than allowing the whole world to peep into your bag.  And the size is good enough to put A4 size paper.  Can either hang the bag on your arm or over the shoulder, so pretty flexible.

LV bag selling at $880, negotiable. Interested, please leave me your contact details via comment.  ^_^

I dun really know how much to sell this, so I choose an auspicious number! But if you really wanna negotiate, then must give me 'sincere price' lah.

Reason for selling: I already own 1 Prada wallet and I love my pink wallet! ^_^

Condition: 10/10 (NEW!)

I bought this wallet at the Outlet in Italy last year, just in case I couldnt find something I like in the retail Prada shop. Anyway, now this has become an extra wallet and also I have another red Ferragamo wallet, so there's really no point for me to own this.
